Hey everyone,
I know I hardly update, but I figured I could use LJ to let those of you who know Ross know that he is ok. I sent him a message earlier, and he was not anywhere near London. He lives in Cambridge, which is quite a few miles off. I <3 you guys, all of you who are reading this, and its times like these where I realize it the most.
Be Well, Theresa

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No, I'm not surprised lol. I am sleepy. I had to work until 11 while everyone watched the game. It was the longest shift ever. I spent most of the night playing some McDonald's kiddy card game, listening to the game on the radio, and running around the store with one of the front counter girls's six-year-old niece. That's definitely in my nature, but it was slow as shit. Sometimes it feels good to kick back and let my hair down though. It's tough playing that double roll sometimes. Been in a weird mood. I have something coming up in a few months that I'm really looking forward to. Hope it goes through this time, because it was supposed to happen in January. We shall see. Had a sort of last minute get together for Andrew's birthday last night. I was glad a nice sized group of people showed up. Now it is time for sleepy. Check out these fun times (sorry if I kill your friends page):

What is Jay looking at? ;o)

School's out... WOOT! Of course that means I'll be working every day of my life, but at least I can sleep in most days. I'm finally (mostly) done my Christmas shopping. Grand total: around $550. Probably not half what some people spent. So yeah, my job is entertaining sometimes. Below is the conversation that took place with an angry customer Samantha asked me to deal with because he couldnt get a courtesy cup:
Me: I'm sorry sir, we no longer give out courtesy cups. Customer: But I want water. Me: I'm sorry sir, we no longer give out courtesy cups. Customer: But I want a drink. You mean I have to pay for it? Me: Ah... yes if you want a drink. I'll give you the smallest size which is 85 cents. Customer: 85 cents?!?!?!?! That's crazy. I dont want it. Me: Ok, your total is $4.05. Customer: I'll pay when I get my food. Me: You won't get your food unless you pay. ::walks away from register, comes back:: Customer: I want a big breakfast. Me: Do you still want the hotcakes you ordered? Customer: I said I want a big breakfast, like on the picture. It doesnt come with hotcakes. Me: You already ordered hotcakes. Do you want those? Customer: I want a big breakfast. Me: Ok. Customer: I see you've been eating a few. Me: I see your getting a refund. Have a nice day.
Hey, you may have gotten in your smart-ass comment mister, but I'll bet you sure are hungry, aren't you?

Its a shame when I log on to my LJ I have to find that trash has been talked about me. It's also a little surprising, because when I'm bothered about someone, and they are an LJ user (or even if they are not, in most cases), I exclude their name because while I am mad, it's a problem between me and that individual, so there's no need to involve other people, give only MY side of the story, and make them look bad because we had a tif. If I had done that, I certainly wouldn't have smiled at that person and talked all nice to them the next time I saw them as if I hadn't posted smack about them the day before. Even now, I choose not to defer from this pattern. But I will say that I prefer that if someone has a problem with me, it would be more effective to say it to me, as it is more likely to get worked out that way.
Excuse my style of writing. I'm in a big Jane Austen kick (oh pretentious me) and I can't seem to break the habit. Anyway, I haven't much to report about the past weekend. Saturday I worked, and Sunday as well. Got into a tif with a fellow manager, who also happens to be one of my best friends, over something stupid as usual. But that's all cleared up. It was the classic female argument "You just don't listen to me..." blah blah blah. Now it's off to see the Dead Milkmen with my Andy and our buddies Tiff and Tim. I've hardly hung with Tim since school started, and that sucks because I felt like we were getting really close this summer. Can't wait until school is over! (Can you say "Amen" Jennie?? lol) I better go finish my homework before the concert.
Peace

Had a groovy sort of day. I went to my classes and a guy in my class lent me the movie "Supersize Me" and insisted I watch it. (McCrew, unite!) I will probably watch it over the weekend. Today was payday (Woot!). D:Your Beauty lies in Intelligence. Logical, wise and a book-worm. You have a mature beauty and look that shows how smart you are. You rely solely on your logic to solve all your or anyone else's problems, which is a bit of a two-sided coin. The fact makes you seem rather emotionless and cold to some people. Not everything can be solved with logic. Despite it, many come to you for advice and love how smart you are, wondering if there is anything you don't know. You probably don't wear much make-up as it distracts you from your studies, but you may wear a pair of glasses just because you like how you look in them, whether you need them or not. For the most part, your looks mean little to you, which makes all the more attractive, especially when you're concentrated on something. Good for you. Now go get your next A+.
This probably more accurate than most of the quizes I have taken.

Due to a friendly face and some Spumoni ice cream, you are being treated to a much better live journal entry than you would have been, had I written this a few hours ago. Again, I had a shitty day at work. The first half of the day was fine because I was with all my ho's (lol). I had a good time, and all was well. Then the second half of the day the shit hit the fan, and attitudes were abound. By the time I left, my stomach was in knots and I made a vow to become the biggest bitch that store has ever seen the next time I am there and someone brings it out of me. All I have to say is, they ain't seen nothing yet. The thing is, I'm generally a nice person, and I love to laugh and have fun. I can't do that in work all the time because people take advantage of that. So, few people know the real me there. I don't care though. The ones that hate me for doing my job can suck my hairly asshole (ha!). I heart everyone else.
After work Jay came over for a few hours to boink. Just kidding :o). We went over some places to play shows at and send demos to, and generally had a good time. Now it's getting late, and I have to go to shit hole... errr... work tomorrow.

Kay.... so where did the rain come from? Today was a beautiful day. But I just heard the pitter patter of little rain drops, and it's pouring. I mean Hell-O, what's up wit dat yo? So today was groovy. I went to my classes and stuff.I was supposed to study with a guy from my contracts class, but he had a late class so it was postponed. Later on I went to see I Heart Huckabees with my friend Esther. The movie was really funny, and I'm really glad I got time to hang out with Esther. We see eachother once a week for lunch usually, but this time we actually got a lot of time together. We also found out then we are in similar situatioins/frames of mind when it comes to men of our past. So odd how we can relate like that. As usual, it was one of very few outings that I have had, and it makes me happy. But, on a more interesting note:

So I'm driving home from work, minding my own business - as all good stories start - and just as I'm about to get to the corner, this guy tries to pull out of a (illegal) parking spot and almost rams into me. Then, and isn't this the best part about driving, he gives ME a dirty look. I mean, how DARE I drive down a street and prevent him from cutting me off? So, I returned his dirty look, and accompanied it with a "What the F**k are you looking at?" as only a south Philly diego can, and proceeded to turn up the Green Day song on the radio and continue on my merry friggin way. Grrrrrrr.
Anyway, it was an ok sort of day. I worked from 9-5 but was pretty tired. I didn't get to sleep until late last night because I was watching the Linda McCartney story and was balling my eyes out at the end when she dies. Hard to sleep after that. I'm such a girl sometimes. Anyway, went through some rough patches with a few crew people, as is the norm on a Sunday. Now I have a group paper to write, because I volunteered to do the final draft. What's wrong with me? School is going fairly well. I've only missed two classes so far. I've been doing well on tests and everything, so that makes me chipper. Me and Ishea may be joining Temple's Equestrian Team lol! What do I know about being on an equestrian team? Squat! But I plan to have fun learning and playing with the pretty horses!

Ok, so maybe I'm wrong, but I sort of lost it when George "The Two" said the following during the debate:
"I was mad when I found out that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction..."
Ok, so instead of feeling happy that there was one less threat on our country to worry about, you were MAD because it made you look bad?? I mean, did anyone else pick up on this??

Oi. I hate Tuesdays. I have a class from 10:10 - 11:30, then an hour and a half break, then another class from 1:10 to 2:30, then I go straight to work and close. Does that low monkey balls or what? The good news - I took an Econ midterm exam last week and I completely choked, or at least I thought I did. Turns out I got one of the top grades in the class (B+, can we say CURVE?) My professor was in serious danger of being humped. Work was ok. Jason Cohen was only partially annoying, which for him is a long stretch. I only had to tell him to do things twice as opposed to 4 or 5 times. I was impressed. We also got out at a decent time which makes me happier than a pig in poop when I have class the next day. Yeah, but in other news, 6,000 ants are on trial today... they're accused of dressing up as rice and robbing a Chinese Restaurant....
- I don't think they did it.

Yeah, I'm posting. Woot! Go me! I know you are all just DYING to know what's going on with me, so here goes. First off all, I have hardly had time to scratch my ass let alone do anything else. All I really do is work, go to school, sleep if I'm lucky, rinse and repeat. I haven't gone out since school started, unless you count going to my OWN show, and to be honest I didn't have many chances to go out during the summer either because I was working so much. I hardly even see Andrew, and I live with him! I haven't seen many of my friends in months. Not much I can do about it because I need the money so I have to work some crazy hours. The last time I went out is when me and some of my homies were bustin' it up at Chrome. Me, Jennie, Jennifer, Amanda, Ishea and Caitlin went. Besides some guy doing the worm all around my ass, we had a great time, and I'd like to do it again some time before I DIE. Classes are ok. I'm content with my major (Human Resource Management) and dont have desires to leave it immediately as I have done with previous majors. Good sign? We'll see. Work's ok. Been really really busy the last couple of days that I worked. There's a bunch of things I'd like to work on at the store to kind of practice what I am learning in class. The only problem is I have to settle down and work on one thing at a time. Dunno what the first thing will be. I've been putting money away to save up for something very important. I'm not giving away details now, because it's still in the planning phase, and it's something I have to do alone, but it should be interesting when it pans out. Been speaking to Ross lately too. It's odd becoming friends with him after there was so much bitterness after the breakup. But life is too short to hold on to grudges. Besides, we've patched some things up, but in the meantime other things have come up. It's another thing I won't get into, but it has my brain working like a ki in a Nike shoe shop. So I ask you all to consider this carefully, because iAt is important; If I melt dry ice, can I swim without getting wet?

Fist, let me start by saying that I am typing to you all from my new laptop. Well, to be honest, it's not exactly new, but does that matter? It was CHEAP! And to po' folks like myself (and yes, I iz po') cheap is all that matters. To be serious, it's pretty nice. I upgraded it with Windows 2000 and Microsoft office so I can do all my school stuff on it, and i hooked it up with a LAN card so that I can use the internet. I'm gonna have to start hanging out at internet cafe's and shit. HA!
Anyway, we had a bit of a scare at work today. A furniture delivery truck was parked in the drive-thru side, and it some how caught on fire. The three guys that were in it jumped out and ran across the street. None of them thought to come in the store to let us know that they left a flaming tuck in a parking lot not ten feet from the building! Anyway, as the flames shot 20 feet into the air, I thought it best to call 911. Talk about scary! I thought the thing was going to blow up, and had the firefighters not gotten there so quickly, it would have. They tore the thing apart as me and my crew watched them destroy the drive-thru. Of course, I started yelling for everyone to get away from the windows in case the thing went up, and no one seemed to understand why I was making such a fuss. Go figure. Anyway, now there is a heap in our drive-thru waiting to be hauled away. That was enough excitement for one day

In light of my friend Brian's situation, I wish to start the following post. Memories are as important, if not more so, than the future because it is the occurrence of certain events in our lives that shape us, and we can thank those memories for making us who we are... the people our friends and family love. If it wasn't for these events in our past, who knows who we would be, but the outcome may have been very different. So thank you, memories, for all the good times. Please post the following in your journals with your own responses:
Where I have come from
One year ago today I was: With Andrew for a year and two months. Two years ago today, I was: Throwing my first surprise party for Andrew. Three years ago today, I was: In love with a co-worker (not Andrew). Four years ago today, I was: Counting the days until Ross came back to see me. Five years ago today, I was: Holding my first love. In ten years, I will be: Thinking of where I was 10 years ago....
